Abstract

PURPOSE:To prepare shrinkable polyamide film with adequate property in shrinkable quantity and shrinkable stress and further excellent in strengh, dimensional stability, transparency and the like by biaxially stretching a specific polyamide copolymeric film. CONSTITUTION:Substantially amorphous film consisting of copolymeric polyamides of nylon 66 and nylon 6 wherein each monomer has a weight ratio of 5/ 95-25/75 is stretched biaxially at about 120 deg.C or below and then wound in the stress relaxation between the stretching temperature and 170 deg.C to provide a thermally shrinkable polyamide film having a 30% or more hot water shrinking percentage and 300-700g/mm. hot water shrinkable stress.
