Abstract
PURPOSE:To retrieve even a non-signal part longer than required quickly, by skipping the non-signal part through high speed retrieval again after brought to reproducing state once, when a non-signal part between recordings is detected during the high speed retrieval. CONSTITUTION:In starting high speed retrieval from a non-signal part, when a signal part is detected, reproducing state is made only for a count-up time T2 of a counter C2 and the system restores to the high speed retrieval again. In starting the high speed retrieval from the signal part, the reproducing state is made after a count-up time T1 of the counter C1 elapses, and when the next signal part is detected while the time T2, the reproduction is made for a count-up time T3. Further, when the next signal part is not detected for the time T2, the reproduction is made for the time T2, and the high speed retrieval is made until the next signal part is detected and the non-signal part is skipped. Thus, quick retrieval can be made even for the non-signal part longer than required.
