Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the erroneous range finding, by stopping the function of a range finding means while a lens driving means is driven.
CONSTITUTION: The device consists of a range finding means 1, which transmits ultrasonic waves to an object and receives the reflection waves to measure the time from teansmission to receiving and outputs a proper lens position signal on a basis of this time, and a driving means 2 which drives a lens in accordance with the output of this range finding means 1. The device is so constituted that the function of the range finding means 1 is stopped while the lens driving means 2 is driven.
