Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the influence to the discharge and the pressure of steam, and the output of a generator by intermitting the discharge of the steam into the air rapidly when the cause of the discharge into the air is removed. CONSTITUTION:When the steam needed in a plant 11 is rapidly reduced, an escape valve 9 is opened for adjusting the steam pressure in a low pressure steam reservoir 10, and the steam is released into the air through an escape port 8. When the amount of steam needed in the plant 11 is returned to a normal value or the amount of the steam in a turbine can be reduced, the escape valve 9 is closed and the discharge into the air is intermitted. At this stage, for reducing the influence to the low pressure steam reservoir 10, when the escape valve is closed only in consideration of the allowable range of a back pressure turbine 3, it can be closed comparatively in a short time.
