Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate mending and defectives and to improve working efficiency by controlling the pressurizing force between electrodes in such a way that the prescribed quality of the weld zone is obtained during the course of resistance welding. CONSTITUTION:The voltage between electrodes 2a, 2b sandwiching welding materials 1 is detected momentarily during conducting of welding current. The differential voltages at the time when the detected voltage exceeds the preset reference voltage are integrated and the pressuring force between the electrodes 2a and 2b is so controlled that the integrated value thereof changing with time changes in conformity with the curve of the integrated value of the reference voltage, so that the quality of the resistance welded parts is improved automatically during the course of the welding.
