Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:An antiulcer agent containing the tetrazole derivative (salt) of formulaI{R1 is lower alkyl, phehyl, or group of formula II[R3 is lower alkyl, naphthyl, etc.; Y is -CO-or-S(O)n-;l is 0W2; m is 0 or 1]; R2 is H, lower alkyl, phenyl, cycloalkyl (where R1 is group of formula II), or -B-CO-R4 (R4 is OH, lower alkoxy, etc.)(when R1 is not the group of formula II)}.
EXAMPLE: 1-Methyl-5-[4-1-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrazol-5-yl)thiobutyl]thio-1,2,3,4-tetrazole.
USE: An antiulcer agent. The agent contains 5W50wt% compound of formulaI and administered orally or parenterally at a rate of 0.6W50mg/kg.
PROCESS: The compound of formula III (R1' is alkyl or phenyl; R12 is alkyl) is prepared e.g. by esterifying an aminocarboxylic acid with a lower alcohol, treating the product with a carboxylic acid halide, and reacting successively with PCl5 and NH3.
