Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify attachment/detachment of an accumulator by placing in the accumulator setting position, a stop valve adapted to close when the accumulator is detached. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve 6 is placed between a master cylinder 1 and a wheel cylinder 8 to discharge pressurized liquid into a reserver 10 and to lessen the pressure according to skid signal. The liquid in the reserver 10 is pressurized through a pump 19 to return a master cylinder 1 through accumulator setting portion 24, an accumulator 23, and a check valve 28. The stop valve 40 provided on the setting portion 24 is opened through a valve opening member 58 of the accumulator 23. When the accumulator 23 is detached, the valve 40 is closed. Consequently, brake liquid can be prevented from leaking and any air vent is no more required.
