Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an ion selective electrode having a long life and reducing the use quantity of expensive ion selective substance substantially, by increasing the concentration of the ion selective substance containing in an ion selective film at the face of the side contacting with the liquid to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:At an ion selective electrode consisting of a vessel 12 put in an electrolytic solution 11, e.g. a K<+> selective film 13 at the end part of the vessel 12, an inner standard electrode a cap 16 and a lead wire 15 piercing the cap, a membrane 13 is joined with the vessel 12 so as to have 200mu total thickness which is laminated about 20mu film containing 3.22wt% K<+> selective material (valinomycin etc.) on a 180mu thickness film which is contained about 0.16wt% the same K<+> selective material to e.g. polyvinyl chloride and a plasticizer, positioning a high concentration layer of the K<+> selective material to the outside. Thus, the ion selective electrode having the same selectivity and a long life to that of making the whole body of the film 13 into 3.22wt% concentration is obtained. It is used for the measurement of ion concentration in blood.
