Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the operability of the program debug, by simultaneously displaying both data requesting the change and monitor to a data processor in executing an instruction. CONSTITUTION:An input device 44 of a program debug device 2 designates a mode in which both the monitor and the change of a data are possible at one time. Then the data to request the monitor and the change are designated by the device 4. Thus the designated data is displayed on a display 5, and at the same time the contents of the data is periodically replaced and displayed. The cursor is matched to the displayed data, and then the change requesting contents is supplied. Thus a request is given to a CPU1 to rewrite the data indicated by the cursor into the changing request contents. The rewriting is realized. After this rewriting, the data under display is periodically replaced. Thus the contents of the data is changed while the data is being in monitored for contents of the data.
