Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve elevator capabilities against projections on roads by providing upper side wheels capable of adjusting for up and down movements. CONSTITUTION:When an obstacle C is encountered, a driving source 13 of an adjusting mechanism 11 is operated to rotate a support lever 12 upward raising the position of an upper side wheel 6. At this time, a support link 14 is shortened as its rod 14c is pressed into a link base 14b against a spring force, and the adjusting mechanism 11 is fixed being braked by the driving source 13 after completion of the up and down adjustment. As a result of this adjustment, a vertical distance A between an axle 6a of the upper side wheel 6 and the ground becomes larger than the height B of the obstacle C. Then, by restarting a driving unit 9, a travel truck 1 gets over the obstacle C with a crawler mechanism 2.
