Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the assembling steps of an electromagnetic coupling device by burying an aluminum stator by a die casting between the first and the second pole segments aligned circumferentially and disposed to be alternately engaged, thereby preventing the production of an air noise upon rotating of poles. CONSTITUTION:A mounting base 14 made of nonmagnetic material such as aluminum is secured to a bushing 12 secured to a drive shaft 10, and poles 20 having the first and the second pole segments 16, 18 aligned circumferentially at the end of the base 14 and disposed to be alternately engaged are secured to the end of the base 14. An aluminum stator 22 is buried without gap by a die casting between the segments 16 and 18, and the segments 16, 18 are secured to each other by the stator 22. A magnetically conductive bridge segment 26 is screwed fixedly in the state isolated at the prescribed air gap to the magnetic material 20 to the supporting base 24 screwed fixedly to the end of the segment 16, and a magnetic flux passing through the air gap is formed of the magnetically conductive bridge segment 26.
