Abstract
PURPOSE:To simplify the manufacture of an LSI meeting specifications by a method wherein a semiconductor substrate is divided into the first and the second regions and the first region is provided with a basic circuit block composed of a common circuit section such as an input and output function section, arithmetic function section, data memory, microcomputer and the second region is provided with an exclusive circuit block. CONSTITUTION:A secomiconductor substrate is divided into a basic circuit block section A and an exclusive circuit section B. And the block section A is provided with the composition as a microcomputer by an input function section 1, arithmetic function section 2, output function section 3, data memory section 4, program memory section 5, control function section 6, and input and output data wires 7, 8. And the block section B is provided with an exclusive block 9 having an exclusive function and the block sections A and B are mutually connected by connection means 11-13. In this way, an LSI meeting a demand is made while compounding a mask.
