Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent opening vibration of a skirt portion of a cylinder and improve vibration characteristic of the cylinder in a main bearing device of an engine crankshaft cars by disposing a reinforcing member on a connecting portion of a beam to a bearing cap. CONSTITUTION:A connecting portion of a beam 7 to a bearing cap 3 is reinforced by a first reinforcing member 8 which is substantially triangle and a second reinforcing member 9. Thus, the reinforcing member 8 is adapted to prevent a longitudinal axis l of the bearing cap 3 from inclining to the longitudinal direction of the beam 7, and the reinforcing member 9 is adapted to prevent a vertical axis of the bearing cap 3 from inclining to the longitudinal direction of the beam 7. Therefore, against fluctuating load on a crankshaft, a distorsion and a fall can be avoided and opening vibration of a cylinder skirt can be prevented to improve vibration characteristic.
