Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a miniaturized and simplified printer which enables direct printing on a roll paper by means of a positioning member provided to regulate the position of the roll paper with respect to a print head as charged to move freely in one way toward the printing head. CONSTITUTION:A compression lever 32 is leveled to insert a guide in 24 into a guide hole 26 thereby setting a roll paper 22. Then, as the compression lever 32 is operated, the guide pin 24 moves to a printing head 7 with a spring 31 along a straight section 28 of the guide hole 26. The roll paper 22 is regulated in the movement to the left at the position of contacting a paper feed roller 35 according to the thickness thereof whereby a gap G between a ball pointed pen 6 can be always kept constant.
