Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a stable holding of a hot water temperature at a desired valve by a method wherein a flow rate of water supplied to a heat exchanger is controlled by a specific control valve. CONSTITUTION:Flow rate of water supplied to a heat exchanger for a hot water heater is controlled by a control valve 4, and the control valve 4 is controlled by a controller so as to control a temperature of the hot water discharged from the heat exchanger to a desired valve. The control valve 4 is provided with a solenoid feeding means 22 for forcedly feeding fluid to a pressure chamber 25, and with an acutator 20 having a responding element 27 which is displaced by sensing a pressure in the pressure chamber 25. The valve 14 adjusts a pressure of water in the outlet passage 10 by varying an area of opening between the inlet passae 9 and the outlet passage 10. Diaphragm 12 is arranged so as to support the valve body 14 and accept the pressure in the passage 9 or passage 10, and a spring 19 is arranged between the diaphragm and the responding element 27.
