Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a driving source exclusive for a mode switching device, to suppress the increase in power consumption and to make the device small and light, by performing fast forwarding and rewinding and the like, through the use of a turning force of a motor for capstan drive. CONSTITUTION:A mode switching device performs fast forwarding and rewinding and the like by using a turning force of a motor 2 for capstan drive. That is, a flywheel 19 is coupled with a capstan 1, a one pulley 21 of a two-stage pulley and a flywheel 19 are belted with a rotating shaft 20 of the motor 2 through a flat belt 23, and an another pulley 22 of the two-stage pulley and a pulley 14 of a main rotating part 3 are belted with a V-belt 24. Thus, when the pulley 14 is driven with the motor 2, a main roller 12 rotates, the driving source exclusive for the mode switching is unnecessary, the increase in power consumption is suppressed, and small size and light weight can be achieved.
