Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform parallel welding of the welded joint at the front face of a scallop into one body without build-up and to perform good welding by starting welding from the opposite side before the weld beads of the front face of the scallop provided to a steel plate solidify. CONSTITUTION:Welders are posted respectively on both sides of a steel plate 3 formed with a scallop 4. Next, a welding rod 6 is placed to face the front face 5 of the scallop from diagonally upward from one side and the welding parts of the steel plates 3, 2 are welded in an arrow A direction along one side face of the steel plate 3. At this time, the welder on the opposite side welds the plates along the other side of the plate 3 in an arrow B direction in such a way as to lap the beads on the first weld beads from the other side in the same manner as that mentioned above before the weld beads at the starting point of the front face 5 of the scallop solidify.
