PURPOSE:To reduce weight of the connecting rod and improve productivity by manufacturing the connecting rod with hollow material. CONSTITUTION:The connecting rod 11 is structured hollow having a ball type and 12 which is also hollow. It is slidably fitted to a spherical seat 14 provided inside the piston body 13. This piston rod is fabricated from a cylindrical hollow material with one end closed. The closed end is inserted in a cylinder provided inside the piston body 13, and then, the ball 12 and the spherical seat 14 are simultaneously formed by means of a ''bulge-forming'' process.
