Abstract

PURPOSE:To satisfy the carving property and the flaw resistance of a gravure plate by impregnating a gravure plate with a plasticizer after a gravure cell is obtd. by carving a hardened film of a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:A photopolymerizable monomer such as N-methylol acrylamide and a photopolymerization initiator are added to polyamide such as 6-nylon or the like and the mixture is dissolved in a solvent. A photosetting polyamide- based resin paint thus obtained is applied on a plate base material and irradiated with violet rays or the like to form in the first stage a hardened film of a polyamide resin. Then, a gravure cell is carved in various sizees and depthes according to the density of an original to make a gravure plate. Thereafter, it is impregnated with a plasticizer such as an oxybenzoic acid ester or oxyphthalic acid ester preferably to 0.1-20% content of impregnated plasticizer.
