Abstract

PURPOSE:To hold the secrecy of recorded information by an automatic answering telephone set by providing a means of collating a preset and stored cipher with a command signal for remote control. CONSTITUTION:A cipher is inputted from a keyboard 1 and, while displayed on a display device 4, stored in a controller 2. A burst or signal FS showing the stored cipher is generated through the oscillation of a command tone generator 7. Said command signal arriving through a circuit controller 5 is converted by a detector 3 into a pulse string, which is collated with the cipher stored in the controller 2; only when both are coincident, a message recorded in an automatic answering telephone set body 6 is reproduced. Thus, the risk of the wiretapping of the message is eliminated.
