Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve excellent transmission without any influence of a spark, etc., on a contact surface between two rotors which have the same rotary shaft and rotate mutually, by forming a concentric circular space at the contact part and by sending and receiving a signal by light through said space. CONSTITUTION:A rotor A and a rotor B rotate around a rotary shaft 1; a space 9 is formed on their contact surface at a circumference centering on the shaft 1, and on its wall surface, a light reflective surface is formed. An electric signal from the terminal 3 of the rotor B is converted by an E/O converter 18 into an optical signal, which is made incident to a propagation lens 14 and a prism 11 through an optical fiber 16; and it is reflected by the reflective surface 19 and emitted to the space 9. The light incident to a prism 13 through the space 9 is reflected by the reflective surface to reach the O/E converter of a terminal equipped to the rotor A through a lens 15 and an optical fiber 17, and it is converted into an electric singal, which is inputted to the terminal. More than one group of the optical fiber, lens and prism as a light inputting and outputting means is installed in the space 9.
