Abstract

PURPOSE:To recirculate cooling air to an engine compartment or discharge the air to the outside in accordance with a conditin of use, by connecting the space, between the front side of a radiator guard blown out with the cooling air and a silencer, to the air guide passage of an engine underguard. CONSTITUTION:Cooling air blown off by a cooling fan 3 of an engine 1 cools a radiator 5 and then passes through a silencer louver 14 of a radiator guard 8, and is delivered to space 28 formed between a radiator silencer 16 and the louver. The cooling air is partially discharged from a top discharge port 34 of the space 28, and the rest of the air is delivered to an air guide passage 38 of an engine underguard of double construction connected to a lower part of the space 28. A selector device 50 is provided in the final end of the air guide passage 38, and the cooling air is recirculated to an engine compartment to increase a noise silencing effect or discharged to the outside to increase a cooling effect by opening an open-close plate 54.
