Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve production efficiency and product quality by automatic control for winding a tape in such a manner as a tape position detector can detect tape slackening that can be removed by operating a pair of actuators controlled by a computer control unit. CONSTITUTION:A swivel ring 1 free to swivel in any direction is mounted on a supporting memberIand a pair of actuators 10, 11 are installed on a side 1b of the swivel ring 1. A guide roller 3 to guide an insulation tape 8 for work W is supported through fittings 12, 13 on the respective output shafts 10a, 11a of both actuators 10, 11 to which the computer control unit 14 is connected. The tape position detector 18 isr provided on the computer control unit 14 which faces the conveying passage of the insulation tape 8. Slackening of the insulation tape 8 can be eliminated by tilting freely the guide roller 3 for the insulation tape 8 so that continuous taping can be carried out under automatic control as well as free mounting can be made at taping pitch intervals within a range specified.
