Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible the stabilized measurement of a liquid level over a long period of time by allowing a gas purge tube to be readily rinsed. CONSTITUTION:When normal water level measurement is taken, a certain amount of flowing air is supplied to an air purge tube 5 through a constant air flux supplying system 3 from an air purge set 2 by shutting a high pressure air supplying valve 9 using a controlling device and opening a certain amount of air supplying valve 8 and a back pressure cut-off valve 11. The back pressure of the air purge gas tube 5 is transmitted to a differential pressure transmitter 7 through a back pressure system 6 to permit the level of filthy water W to be measured. In addition, the back pressure cut-off valve 11 is shut by the controlling device at certain time intervals and, at the same time, the certain amount of air supplying valve 8 is shut. Further, the high pressure air supplying valve 9 is opened, supplying the high pressure air from a high pressure air supplying source B to the air purge tube 5 through a bypass system 10. When the above-mentioned high pressure air is passing through the air purge tube 5, filth and solid matters attached to the inside surface of the air purge tube 5 are removed because of air pressure, thus cleaning the inside of the tube 5.
