Abstract
PURPOSE:To shorten the time to response of magnetic ink without increasing electric power in a magnetic fluid recording device by giving bias voltage that changes into two values by synchronizing with the selection signal of a stylus electrode. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic fluid recording device is provided, as in the conventional form, with a stylus electrode drive circuit 5, a control electrode drive circuit 6 and a bias voltage VB and on the bias voltage a bias circuit 7 is overlapped. The bias circuit 7 is turned ON or OFF to the timing of ON-OFF of the transistor of the stylus electrode drive circuit 5. Then VB' is set so that VB+ VB' becomes a little higher than VB. During recording, a high voltage is applied only when the magnetic ink flies. In this way the time of response of the magnetic ink is shortened. Furthermore since, during flying of the magnetic ink, the bias voltage is lowered to the voltage that is the same as before, the electric power during the flying is the same as before.
