Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a feed composition which can be stored for a long period without causing browning reaction, by coating amino acid with natural mucous substance.
CONSTITUTION: Particles of amino acids having a diameter of 50W150μ are coated with a natural mucous substance such as dextrin,gelatin, gum arabic, etc. The amount of the mucous substance is 1W15wt%, pref. 2W5wt% of the amino acid, and its thickness is usually about 0.2W0.5μm. The coating of the amino acid particle can be carried out, e.g. by adding water to glycine and a natural mucous substance (1W15wt% of the glycine), and spraying the solution into a heated vacuum tank to effect the dehydration and drying, or by spraying 10W 20wt% solution of natural mucous substance to the outer surface of glycine particles, and drying the solution.
