Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the controllability of an electromagnetic pump with supplied waveform as sinusoidal waveform by connecting a commercial power source to an induction coil and a capacitor which is resonated with a power frequency through a thyristor circuit to supply the output to the pump. CONSTITUTION:A commercial power source 11 is connected to aninduction coil 26 which limits the current of a thyristor 22 to an allowable value through an anti-parallel circuit of the thyristor 22, and a capacitor 27 which is resonated with the power frequency is connected in parallel with the output terminal of the coil, and is connected to an AC Faraday type electromagnetic pump 10 such as sodium plant or the like. Then, the thyristor 22 is controlled with a gate circuit 23 to drive the pump 10. Accordingly, the condenser 27 is set to a value which is resonated with the inductance component of the pump 10, thereby forming the supply waveform into a sinusoidal waveform and improving the controllability. Thus, an automatic control by a computer can be performed.
