Abstract

PURPOSE:To fire powdery raw materials efficiently by firing the powdery raw materials with jet layers, cooling coarse grain clinker, returning unfired raw materials and fine grain clinker, and circulatively using the heat of that time. CONSTITUTION:The powdery raw materials such as cement which are preheated and calcined are fired with jet layers 6 consisting of crude gases and laminar air. Coarse grain clinker and the clinker in waste gases are cooled and the fine grain clinker in the waste gases of that time and the unfired raw materials are returned to the layers 6. At this time, the air heated in cooling of the clinker is used as combustion air for the crude gases and/or combustuion air of a heat source for calcination. Since the firing of good efficiency is accomplished in this way, the powdery raw materials are fired with good thermal efficiency in a short time with a small-sized device.
