Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve automatical optical adjustment with good accuracy, by making coarse adjustment of focus and adjustment of optical axis with a simple pattern and positioning with a fine tuning pattern. CONSTITUTION:When a pattern 4a is picked up at a cemera 1, the image is obtained at a receiving sensor 2. The output voltage to this image is changed with a value of distance Z between a camera 1 and a sensor 2, and the position to this maximum luminance becomes a correct focus. Next, the image on the sensor 2 is scanned with two short scanning lines closed mutually. Adjusting screws 6a-6c are adjusted so that the peak value difference between two luminance curves obtained in this case can be within a permissible value. Thus, the optical axis is coincided. Next, the image forming is made by using the pattern 4b, and upper and lower two portions are scanned to left and right longitudinal lines and the luminance performance toward Z is measured as to left and right longitudinal lines and 4 cross points. The position of Z to the optical peak value of the luminance curve obtained is made equal. Thus, the optimum positioning is achieved.
