Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a recorder capable of reducing stain at the tip of a nozzle and ink dry by constructing the tip section of a nozzle base of hydrophobic resin material such as fluorine-contained resin so that the tip of an ink can be returned under vacuum after the discharge thereof. CONSTITUTION:The tip section 45 of a nozzle base 43 is constructed of a hydrophobic resin material such as fluorine-contained resin and an opening is provided communicated to an ink passage of the nozzle base. Each time ink is discharged, a sufficient negative pressure is applied on the ink to return the tip of the ink to the boundary between the nozzle base 43 and the hydrophobic resin material so that the tip thereof is positioned always at the boundary after the discharge of the ink including that when unused.
