Abstract

PURPOSE:To surely prevent a trouble of engine stop in the above described device suitable for a power lawn mower, by decreasing a load applied to an engine when the engine is switched from its idling state to its clutch connected state. CONSTITUTION:In a state applied with a brake when a brake spring 29 is extended, a cam ball 28 is located in the deepest position of ball clamps 26, 27 to obtain a minimum distance between a cam plate cover 23 and cam plate 1. On the other hand, a lining plate 13 is pressed by a pusher plate 16 to contract a clutch spring 14, and a brake lining 15 is separated from a clutch disc 5. Ac- cordingly, an output shaft 4 and the disc 5 are raced even by driving an engine, and a rotary member 11 is not rotated, then a working blade (not shown) mounted to this rotary member stops standing still. On the contrary, if a control lever 24 is pulled to a direction A, the lining 15 is press attached to the disc 5 to rotate the working blade to a direction B.
