Abstract

PURPOSE:To convert in a simple way a deformed color video signal in which both the luminance and chrominance signals share the frequency band into another color video signal which is suited to be supplied to a color TV picture receiver. CONSTITUTION:A processor of color video signal contains plural pickups which reproduce the signals out of a recording medium, a signal processing circuit which processes the color carrier wave having the fluctuation of time axis and reproduced from the pickup, and a detecting means which detects the connection of a specific pickup. This detecting means produces a control signal in accordance with the connection of the specific pickup. With this control signal, the above-mentioned signal processing circuit is switched as if it processed the color subcarrier frequency which is according to the input signal reproduced by the specific pickup.
