Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare the titled composition having excellent durability and adhesivity, and forming a coating film capable of releasing the antifouling agent steadily for a long period, by using a polybutylene terephthalate copolymer containing polytetramethylene glycol and isophthalic acid as copolymerizing components.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is prepared by adding an antifouling agent to a vehicle consisting of a polybutylene terephthalate copolymer containing polytetramethylene glycol and/or isophthalic acid as copolymerizing components. The polybutylene terephthalate copolymer is, e.g. a polytetramethylene glycol-copolymerized polybutylene terephthalate having a polytetramethylene copolymerization ratio of 10W60wt%, or an isophthalic acid-copolymerized polybutylene terephthalate having an isophthalic acid copolymerization ratio of 20W 60%, etc. The composition is pref. molten and applied by dry process. Application to filamentous material is most effective.
