Abstract
PURPOSE:To control reduction in printing thickness even if the output of a printing head is reduced by a method wherein a heatsensitive layer is made to contain higher aliphatic alcohol ester of carbamic acid. CONSTITUTION:A colorless or light color leuco dye compound, a color-developing acidic material by reacting to a heatsensitive color-developing lactone compound which is solidified at the normal temperature, and a binder for binding the components distributed in a heatsensitive layer are allowed to disperse together with a white pigment and then reduced to fine grains in order to form a heatsensitive agent layer. Then higher aliphatic alcohol ester of carbamic acid indicated by the formula (where R is a straight or branched alkyl radical with more than 12C atoms) is distributed in the layer. The number of carbons contained in the higher alcohol should be preferably more than 12. More specifically, carbamic acid lauryl ester, carbamic acid milistylester are preferred. By distributing the ester, the improvement in printing thickness can be expected for the color-developing lactone compound with excellent sensitivity.
