Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heatsensitive recording material by a method wherein a material is coated with a liquid containing colorless or light color basic dyes, an organic or inorganic compound containing zinc or tin, and a specified chloride. CONSTITUTION:A binder, a dispersant and the like are added, when necessary, to a liquid containing 100wt% colorless or light color basic dyes of triaril methane, diphenil mechane series or the like, and 100-2,000wt% organic or inorganic compound containing zinc or tin and substance represented by a general formula MCln (where M is alkaline earth metal such as aluminum, cobalt or nickel, excluding zinc; Cl being a chlorine ion; n being 2 or 3). A supporting material such as paper is coated with the liquid. As the organic compound containing zinc or tin, zinc or tin salt belonging to aliphatic carbon acid may be used, while zinc oxide, zinc hydroxide and the like may be used as the inorganic compound.
