Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate works at sea and to eliminate almost all the works under water by filling a space between a pile and an outside pipe with mortar after driving the pile and fitting the outside pipe of a panel structure on the head of the pile.
CONSTITUTION: Piles 1 are driven at a predetermined interval by a pile-driving ship 12. A connecting wave-dissipating panel 4' for fitting the outside pipes 3 of the panel structure 2 on the corresponding piles 1 is hung and laid down between panel structures 2 to connect the adjacent panel structures 2 with the wave dissipating panel 4'. Spaces formed between the piles 1 and the corresponding oustisde pipes 3 are filled with mortar 10 to integrate the piles and the panel structures. A parapet wall 11 is constructed on the outside pipes to complete the breakwater.
