Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove clogging in the opening part of a nozzle and bubbles in the printing head by a method wherein the opening part of the nozzle is shielded by a cap and the bubbles in the nozzle are absorbed and removed while the printing is not performed. CONSTITUTION:While the printing is stopped the printer head 10 is moved up to a position facing a cap means 19 and the cap 23 is made to contact with the front of the printer head by the operation of a spring 24. The pump 35 of a bubble absorbing means 20 operates for a few minutes at the beginning of the recording to make a negative pressure in an ink recollecting tank 32 and to recollect bubbles mixed in the ink chamber of the printer head 10 with ink into the ink recollecting tank 32. Then, the cap is separated from the printer head, the printer head is moved up to a purifying means, the front is purified and then the printer head is moved up to the printing position.
