Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A compunnd of formulaI(R is halogen, nitro, aralkyloxycarbonyl, carboxyl) and its acid adduct.
EXAMPLE: 4'-Chloronaphthyl trans-4-guanidinomethylcyclohexanecarboxylate.
USE: A drug having an action of inhibiting proteases: the trans-isomer is preferred.
PREPARATION: The reaction between 4-guanidinomethylcyclohexanecarboxylic acid or its reactive derivative such as acid cholride or ethyl chloroformate and a compound of formula II (R' is halogen, nitro, aralkyloxycarbonyl) is conducted in a solvent such as dimethylformamide at room temperature W under reflux for 1hrW20 days, preferably in the presence of a tertiary amine to give the compound of formulaI.
