Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the double length operation to execute a high precision operation in a high speed, by providing a higher precision input terminal and a lower precision input terminal in an operating part and by dividing data, which is obtained from a counter part, into higher precision and lower precision data of the bit width of a basic data processing unit as required to perform the operation control. CONSTITUTION:An operation control device 6 is provided with a lower precision input terminal 6a and a higher precision input terminal 6b to which upper 16-bit data 7 and lower 16-bit data 4 from a counter 2 are inputted respectively, and the operation of a higher precision or a lower precision is executed in the device 6 as required. A pulse input 1 is inputted to the counter 2 and is counted up by the counter 2; and if data of a high precision is required, lower 16-bit data 4 from the counter 2 is used to perform the control operation. If a very high precision is not required, upper 16-bit data 1 from the counter 2 is used to perform the control operation, and thus, the double length operation is eliminated to execute the operation in a high speed.
