Abstract

PURPOSE:To weld a tube plate, a clad plate and a heat transfer tube simultaneously, and to improve the reliability of welding by inserting the heat transfer tube into the tube holes of the tube plate and the clad plate, expanding the tube to develop a tight fit, and applying laser light from the inside surface of the heat transfer tube at a right angle thereto. CONSTITUTION:A clad plate 2 is placed on a tube plate 1 in such a way as to fit thereto tightly, and a heat transfer tube 3 is inserted into the tube holes of the plate 1 and the plate 2, thence the tube 3 is expanded from the inside surface, so that it is brought in tight contact with the tube holes of the plate 1 and the plate 2. Next, a plane mirror 6 is moved to the position where laser light 7 falls to the mating surfaces of the plate 1 and the plate 2 at a right angle thereto from the inside surface of the tube 3, and said surfaces are welded by the thermal energy of the laser light 7. At this time, the mirror 6 is rotated to weld 4 the tube 3, the plate 1 and the plate 2 simultaneously over the entire circumference.
