Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a device which has simple constitution and excellent simultation precision and facilitates calculation, by finding variation in the output voltage of a battery from a load current and the discharge curve of the battery and by supplying the voltage which corresponds to the variation to an equipment to be tested. CONSTITUTION:A data processor 2 is stored previously with the discharge characteristics of a battery, and electromotive force and internal resistance in an unloading state. In a -15 deg.C thermostatic chamber, the output terminal of a battery simulator 0 is connected to the power source circuit of a car to perform simulation. A load current is measured by an ammeter 4 and the signal which corresponds to an output voltage is sent by operating devices 5 and 6 to a DC power source device 3 to generates an output voltage V. The signal from the load current is supplied from the ammeter 4 to the data processor 2 to obtain its mean value, and a voltage drop is found from the discharge curve which corresponds to the mean value and supplied as a signal to the DC power source device 3. Said operation is performed successively with time to simulate the battery.
