Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic roll paper which is prevented from color extinction due to a plasticizer and has an improved head matching, by a method wherein a water-soluble high-molecular protective layer containing a thermosetting organic filler and an organic antifriction agent is formed on an upper surface of a heat-sensitive color development layer of a heat-sensitive recording type magnetic roll paper. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording layer is formed on one surface of a sheet- form support such as ordinary or artificial paper and a heat-sensitive color development layer containing a leuco dye, an acid material, and a binder is formed on the other surface. Then a protective layer consisting of a thermosetting organic filler such as urea-formalin resin or phenol resin, an organic antifriction agent such as animal, vegetable or petroleum waxes and a water-soluble polymer such as polyvinyl alcohol or hydroxyethylcellulose is formed with a thickness of 2-5mu on the heat-sensitive color development layer. In the protective layer, preferable amounts of each component used is 20-40wt% for the thermosetting filler and 30-50wt% for the organic antifriction agent.
