Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent spaces beyween chips from being formed, and to improve the bonding strength between the chips, by blowing the chips into a compressing mold container by swirling and compressed air, and permitting the fibers to successively drop with them while being aligned in the direction of the swirl current. CONSTITUTION:When the chips 3a are loaded into a blowing member 8, the chips 3a are fed into a feeder 6 where they are blown and transmitted in the manner such that the fibers are aligned in the direction of the swirl by the compressed air PF that has been swirling and dropped successively into the compressing mold container so that chips 3 are formed. Then after the feeder 6 is removed from the compressing mold container 1, the stacked chips 3 are pressurized and constricted by lowering a compressing body 1 through the operation of a compressing member 14. The synthetic wood material W removed from the compressing mold container 1 is ground for example by a plywood lathe to obtain a particle board PB with longitudinal grains.
