Abstract
PURPOSE:To protect an exhaust tube from damage while to reduce the weight and to facilitate the bending work, by jointing a pair of semi-circular members from up and down directions to a portion of an exhaust tube while making the thickness at the underside of said member thicker than that at the upper side. CONSTITUTION:A muffler side pipe section 29 is coupled to the rear end of the engine side pipe section 28 of an exhaust pipe 27. A flange 32 for connecting the exhaust tube 27 to the cylinder is fixed to the tip of the pipe section 28 while a muffler 33 is connected to the rear end of the pipe section 29. Here the pipe section 28 is formed by jointing a pair of pressed semi-circular tubular members 30, 31 from up and down direction where the thickness t1 of the member 30 at the under side or the pavement side is set thicker than the thickness t2 of the member 31 at the upper side. Consequently the rigidity at the under face side of the exhaust pipe 27 is improved to protect from the damage, while the weight is reduced because of the thin upper side and the bending work is facilitated.
