Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the prescribed and desired material temp. and temp. distribution, by performing feed-back controlling to chnge a cooling condition on the basis of the deviation derived from the comparison between the found value and desired one of mateial temp. CONSTITUTION:Desired temperatures a meterial and temp. distributions in the axial direction of the material at the temp. detecting positions A-E are set. The desired temp. and temp. distribution of the material and rolling condition are introduced into a controlling model and computed by a microcomputer MPU to perform preset controlling by introducing the resulting values into controlling devices (cooling-water flow-rate controller) 41-45. Hereby, the flow rate Q is controlled by the devices 41- 45 under the given cooling condition i.e. nozzle injecting angle theta and sectional area A at the nozzle exit. Further, a heat-transfer model is corrected by the deviation between the actually measured values of temp. at the point C at the exits side of a group of rolling mills and at the points A-E at the exits of cooling throughs and the calculated values, and then, the suitable controlling is performed. Further, the feed- back control is performed by the deviation between the desired values and found ones, when the materal temp. on the upper stream due to outer disturbance changes.
