Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of escaping and creasing of a thin strip to be rolled completely by rolling said strip via intermediate thin strips with higher hardness. CONSTITUTION:In rolling of a thin strip, intermediate thin strips 3 of amorphous metal or the like which is harder than a thin strip 2 to be rolled and is hard to cause plastic deformation are superposed on both sides of the strip 2 to increase its thickness, thence these are passed through rolling rolls 1 and the strip is rolled. According to this method, the generation of escaping and creasing of the strip 2 is eliminated and satisfactory rolling is accomplished. Since the strips 3 are not rolled, they can be used any times. By this pack rolling, the thin strip is easily rolled.
