Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A molded article of a ceramic supporting a radioactive substance releasing mainly alpha rays and a substance having the redox catalytic ability, e.g. Pt and/or Pd, is brought into contact with tap water or drinking water to give a drinking water for treating the constipation. The contact time of the water with the molded article of the ceramic is 24hr or longer, and is preferably as long as possible. The amount of the water to be drunk is about 1l or more per day. The water exhibits improved effects on the constipation without side effects.
