Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition forming in a short time a coat with excellent hardness by irradiation with UV ray or electron beams and heating, which comprises a specified melamine acrylate, a photopolymn. initiator and an amino resin curing catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: An alkoxymethylated melamine resin and an α,β-ethylenically unsaturated acid deriv. such as ethylene glycol monoacrylate are subjected to an ether interchange reaction to obtain melamine acrylate (A) having at least 0.5 alkoxy group per melamine nucleus. Then 0.1W10wt% polymn. initiator such as benzoin methyl ether, 0.1W10wt% amino resin curing catalyst such as methyl p- toluenesulfonate and, if necessary, a polyester, acrylate, alkyd or epoxy resin reacting with the amino resin by heating and crosslinked and cured, are added to the component A.
