Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A 1,4,5,6-tetrahydronicotinamide derivative expressed by the formula (R is phenyl or pyridyl which may have a substituent group).
EXAMPLE: N-(1,4,5,6-Tetrahydronicotinoyl)-2-methoxyaniline.
USE: An inhibitor against the blood platelet agglutination, anti-inflammatory agent, and antipyretic and analgesic agent, useful for the remedy and the prevention of thrombosis, and eliminating the disadvantages of the well-known anti-inflammatory agents which accelerate the blood platelet agglutination conversly on administration for a long term.
PROCESS: Hydrogen gas is introduced into a nicotinamide derivative corresponding to the compound expressed by the formula, preferably in an alcoholic solvent, in the presence of a commonly used metallic catalyst, particularly palladium-carbon, to give the compound expressed by the formula.
