Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the shock at the acceleration of operation and decrease the exhaust of unburned hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide. CONSTITUTION:The shock at the time of acceleration intensifies as the rate of change in driving torque rises. the driving torque is the product of the multiplication of output torque by the transmission ratio. The rate of change in the output torque is proportional to that in the injected quantity of fuel. The basic time of the fuel injection, which is calculated from the output signals of an air flow meter 16 and a rotational frequency sensor 21, is compared with a prescribed maximum allowable limit value. When the basic time of the fuel injection has exceeded the prescribed maximum allowable limit value, the actual time of the fuel injection is gradually increased at a predetermined rate from the limit value independently of the basic time of the fuel injection.
